Review of Halo 3: ODST(P,C 360/BC)

Hey, everyone! This time, I review my all-time favourite Halo game. Does the accessibility scores live up to this accolade?

check  your mouths, find your chairs and get SET for a combat drop!

(Best enjoyed with h8eadphones on!)

After Halo 3's blockbuster success, Bungie continued supporting Halo 3 with numerous DLC map packs, the Noble map Pack, which is later free, the Legendary map Pack. When Bungie started a new project, Halo Reach, bungee decided to undertake a side project. This project became Halo 3 ODST. The team at Bungie used the exact same engine that is used for Halo 3. Today, this game has arrived on PC as the fourth installment of the Master Chief collection.

The story is set between the event of Halo 2&3 the covenant has successfully invaded Earth, the prophet of regret is in retreat aboard a covenant carrier. The drop into the city went sour when the cruiser jumped into slip space, with our ass kicking, Spartan Super Soldier, Master Cheif in hot pursuit. Now, 6 hours After your team's initial field deployment.Alone in the city of New Mombasa, it is up to you to find out what happened to the rest of your squad, and uncover what the covenant was looking for.

The accessibility scores are as follows –

Visibility 6.5

VISR mode is basically your night vision goggles.  The outlines of friend fall are in red and green. As we both know, red and green is a definite no-no when it comes to colour blind people. So, when using VISR mode, you are just as much likely to empty a clip on your allies, instead of fighting the covenant. This game is quite easily playable,as the enemies look different but as you can see, there are major issues with this game makes it very difficult to play.

Audibility 11

unlike the other games of this collection, this game has.subtitle support. So you will be able to understand what's being said during cut scenes at last! The developers of this game is actually taking actors ability of this game seriously! As I have said you can use text-to-speech mode. When the player sends a message to you via text chat, the message is then read out to you. So that way, you can listen to the person in last place whining about your repeated use of the gravity hammer, explaining to you on how much of a n00b that you are

Mobility 11

With this being a PC port of a game that originally started on a console, control support is present in this game. The amount of options in terms of Boston and stick layouts is very familiar to a person who has played a first person shooter game before. There is also keyboard and mouse support. As you may expect, these controls can be fully customisable search your impairments. So  a mobility impaired player can play this game with very little issues.

Gameplay 10.5

with my favourite game of the Halo series being at last on PC, it is very good to revisit this gem.

The free-form style of the mission in new Mombasa allows you to explore the city as entirely your own pace. This style of freedom is like a breath of fresh air from the linear style of the traditional Halo campaign the city itself is filled with secrets and audio logs for you to locate. So you'll be spending a long time playing this game. The inclusion of ODST firefight mode brings even more Nostalgia to the collection. In terms of the multiplayer, there is not a lot changed. Although all they have decided to add the weapons in ODST added into multiplayer. To be fair, when this game released on the Xbox 360 this game was met with criticism due to its like cluster of new content. The additional desk that came with the game was Halo 3's multiplayer with all the maps.

But in my opinion, the feeling of isolation, the fact that you're not playing as a Spartan, and the soundtrack makes this game the best campaign in this series. Instead of charging in taking out every enemies in the room, take cover to regenerate your health and Shields then moving onto the next you have to be a bit more tactical. You can't take as much hits as you would normally do as a Spartan. Also, you don't have a motion tracker so the entire experience of ODST is a breath of fresh air from the other games.

In summary Halo ODST has a very special place in my heart when it comes to the Halo series as a whole. The music, the darkness, and the occupied city of new Mombasa adds to the feeling of isolation that this game is about when you travel around the city to find your squad. This may not be the most expansive who will game in the series but, this game still deserve some love.Next time I review a Halo game will be 4, and I will be giving the final verdict of the collection itself on PC.
