Hey everyone! I'm back in R-cade to snap up a review. Is this game truly a masterpeice or is it wasted film?
Let's find out!
During my fun visit to R-cade, Sam asked us to review a new edition to the N64 menu. As Bubsy the Bobcat would say "WHAT COULD PAWSIBLY GOW WRONG!".
The short answer - Everything!
In this game, you go around an area, follow a track, and take pictures of Pokémon. That's it!
The accessibility scores are as follows:
Visibility : 10
This game does not need a colourblind mode as every Pokémon you see is neither friend or foe. You should be able to play this game with no issues.
Audibility : 10
There is no spoken dialogue in this game, so everything Professor Oak (Who, according to this game, fails to correctly identify a Snorlax!) is text based. So again, no issues should arise.
Mobility : 6
Right, this is where the major issues start to develop, the game is primarily controlled by the analogue stick, Z button, and A and B buttons. With the shape of the N64 controller, this game is an absolute nightmare to play! To expose even more light into the film, while on location, the X axis inverted. To make matters worse, there is absolutely no way whatsoever to change the controls in any fashion!
Gameplay: 6
I think the game is pretty calm and relaxing to play, and requires a lot of patience, perfectly capturing photography in frame. However, it's not for everybody, the game is short, and doesn't vary too much in gameplay. So, the game gets monotonous after a while.
Overall Score : 80%
Pretty respectable score for an N64 game.
