SUMMER OF GAME PASS PT.2- GOING UNDERDROUND(Review of Metro Exodus(Xbiox One, PS4, PC)

Hey everyone! Welcome back to the Summer of Game Pass. This time we go from the Red Planet to a few miles under Red Square.  Can this game beat Surviving Mars' 105% or should Robert stay underground?

 Let's find out!

( just a reminder these narrations are best enjoyed with headphones on)

After the power struggle in my local GAME, Robert "Liquid" Stevenson wanted me to review this game as it was a more recent release.

His colleagues, on the other hand, wanted me to review other games which are available on the Game Pass catalogue. With William's review in the limelight. I thought it would be fair to get his review done next. With another one of my next-door neighbours, dgr newcomer Richard "Axton" Harker, the DGR Ambassador of the ROI, Heelzor backing this request, the demand for this review has been high.

Anyway, let's get on with the review!

This game is based on the writings of Dimitry Glukhovsky. The game is set in the Russian capital Moscow. A nuclear war purged most of the world in Nuclear Winter. The city is caught up in a struggle for power between the various factions within the city's Metro system.  You play as Artyom Alekseyevich Chyornyj, a ranger, who pledges allegiance to the Spartan Order, who sets off from the Metro to the surface to search for other survivors.

The accessibility scores are as follows:

Audibility 10
There are in-game subtitles present, so you can understand what's going on in the story.

Visibility 10
There is no colourblind mode present in this game but there is little need for one as there are no colour coded elements that cause issues for colourblind players.

Mobility 9.5
the only issue I  have with this category is that Legacy is not present in this game.

But Deep Silver has done something that in my honest opinion should have been done sooner. They have allowed Mouse and Keyboard support on consoles. One of the biggest advantages of the PC Gaming ma-err community is the choice of the comfort of a controller or the familiarity and accuracy of a keyboard and mouse.  The controls with the keyboard and mouse are fully customisable. So we need more of that, please!

Gameplay 10
In short, this game is very good. The story is interesting and the graphics look amazing on a One X there's a fair bit of lifespan in this game. If you are into the single-player story experiences., like Half-Life, you would enjoy this game a lot. Probably the closest thing to a new  Half-Life game... till 2025!

In Summary, Metro Exodus is very accessible.  With Keyboard and Mouse support thrown in the mix, you'll be OK with this game.  As I said earlier, this game is somewhat similar to Half-Life. So if you are looking for a Single-Player experience to play over the Summer, this could be a good choice.

OVERALL SCORE 98.75%

 Close but no cigar, Robert!
