Review of Time Crisis 2 (PS2)

Hey everyone! today I review one of the most recognizable arcade-style shooters of the PS2 Library.  Can this game shoot their way to top spot? Let's find out!

Do you remember the days of spending your 50p pieces to play? want to replicate this coin-op feeling in the comfort of your living room? That's what the highly successful Time Crisis series is all about! Originally released in the good ol' fashioned Coin-Op Arcades in  1997, but this particular version is the PS2 port, released in 2001. What makes this game stood out that it had the G-Con,  a motion sensor gun peripheral (more on that later!).

This review was requested by Androo, of R-Cade Glasgow, located  SaltMarket Street, near the place of the haven that was Megabytes(thanks for having me!) if [you are a gamer in the St.Enoch area, this place is the place to be!  They have a variety of retro sys-

Okay! Okay! enough of the advertisement, on to the review! Geez!

In this particular  entry in the series, A corporation called "NeoDyne Industries built a network of 64 satellites, orbiting the Earth improving the communications capability of the world, but as the worldwide intelligence agency V.S.S.E, the whole thing was a diversion (THE CAKE IS A LIE!)  as they are planning to launch a Nuclear Satellite into space as response to this the agency sent out two agents Keith Martin and Robert Baxter, to prevent the launch and save the day!

The accessibility scores are as follows:

Visibility 9

There's no colorblind mode, but, in arcade style rail shooters, you would shoot more or less everything that moves But it's when the two player mode that will cause the issues. Player 1's crosshair is in red, player 2's crosshair is in blue. Red and Blue is an issue for colorblind players. But when you are using the G-Con peripheral, no crosshairs are required. So if you use g-Cons, you'll be fine!

Audibility 0
No subtitle options are present. Critical Failiure!

Mobility 9
Using the G-Con peripheral makes the game unplayable. You press a button to pop in and out of cover and to reload your weapon. And point at the screen to aim, and pulling the trigger to shoot.  Using the standard DualShock controller completely redeems this game. The controls can be customized, so you'll encounter no issues while playing this game with a controller.  GG Namco

Gameplay 10
During this time Time Crisis was neck-and-neck with Sega's Virtua Cop series (Shout-Out to Androo for the info!). It is a pretty much a  standard Arcade-Style Rail shooter. Shoot enemies that pop up on the screen, move forward to next part, repeat till the level is complete.

The G-Con light gun really brings the authentic Arcade Experience home.  This game gets even better with a friend. In summary, This game is an excellent port of the  Arcade shooter being brought to your home. So if you are into those old school Arcade rail shooters, this game is a great choice. It still retains the addictive charm that Arcade Machines had.
