Review i of Star Wars: Rogue Squadron (N64,PC)

Hey everyone!  To continue  Star Wars Season [Insert Cantina Music here] SpartanCommander enlists himself into Rogue Squadron. Can Commander Skywalker destroy the Death Star, or will the fail in the act?

Let's find out!

Dayum! Alderrran just got pwned

(Dota cliche *DING*)
Originally released in 1998 for the N64,  this game is one of the N64's best Star Wars game. In this game. Set between  Episode 4 (A New Hope) and Episode 5( Empire Strikes Back). You play the part of Luke Skywalker, who has been assigned to  Rogue Squadron,  comprised of the Rebel Alliance's most elite pilots as you complete daring raids, rescue missions, even famous battles featured in the movies in the cockpits of fast nimble A-Wings, Slow moving, but robust Y-Wing bombers, Snowspeeders and the fighter who killed the Death Star, the Incom  T-65B X-Wing Starfighter, the Spitfire of the Rebel Alliance. The accessibility scores are as follows-

Visibility 7
This game is very accessible to visually impaired players. But it'ds the radar that the issues may lie.

When using the radar, friendly targets are represented by green dots, while enemy forces are represented by red dots. As you may know by now, red and green is the worst color combination when it comes to colorblind players, but in spite of that, the craft and ground units are pretty easy to distinguish, I mean it's easy to distinguish a TIE Fighter with an X-Wing.

Audibility 10
There are in-game subtitles so you can understand what's going on in cutscenes and in missions. So no issues there.

Mobility 11
With the PC/Steam version, you can use a gamepad or keyboard to play. Son if you prefer controlling the game with your keyboard, or pop in a controller for that old-school N64 feeling, you have that option. The controls on both options can be remapped via the options menu, so, an epic win for Factor 5.

Gameplay 10
For an N64 game, this game is very good. with an additional three missions, which can be unlocked when you attain medals in missions (back in those days, additional content was unlocked through skill. Not DLC, Microtransactions, nor loot boxes. Good times, folks!). With the arcade-style medal system, there's an incentive to replay each level to beat that high score or time to get that Gold Medal!  With this game being an N64 port, this game can be run on virtually any system (even laptops) with the game available on Steam under £10,  there's not much excuse to pick this game up. This game is a must-buy for nostalgia junkies who prefers a fast-paced action game.

OVERALL SCORE 95%

see you guys in the next review, Roll out, Spartan Company!
