Review of Super Mario World (SNES, GBA)

Hi guys! Happy New Year! To kick off 2018, I review a throwback to the SNES era so can this game dethrone Jazz Jackrabbit and Sonic Advance 3? Let's find out!

Originally released for the SNES(Super Nintendo Entertainment System) in 1990, according to the requester, this is the best selling SNES game, with a staggering  20.1 million units info source- VG charts.

To put this in perspective- the Original Metal Gear Solid had total sales of 6.03 million,  Final Fantasy 7 sold 9.27 million. This means that Super Mario World had 4.08 million more sales than two of the most iconic games of the PlayStation era put together! that's half the population of London!

Okay! okay! enough of the demographic mumbo-jumbo, on with the review!

This  game takes place after the events of Super Mario 3, Mario and Luigi went  to a place called Dinosaur Land (we interrupt this Super Mario World review  to bring you the Jurassic Park Movies *DING*) While they were sleeping on a beach Princess Toadstoo-err Peach gets kidnapped by the King Koopa AKA Bowser, (okay, so basically, Bowser kidnaps Peach for the fourth time in a row! Can Mario at least get a bodyguard or something to protect her!? four sins for that! *Mario shrink sound effect*) It is up to you tpo save Mario's sweetheart!

The accessibility scores are as follows:-

Visibility 10
This game has no colour coded elements to its gameplay, so you'll be fine with this game.

Audibility 10
This game has no spoken dialogue all dialogue and tutorial messages are text-based, so you'll be OK with this game.

Mobility 8
This game has no redefinable controls, but the contols are simple enough if you've played a Mario game before, the controls will be very familiar.

Gameplay 9

If you're into Mario games there's quite a  lot to enjoy. If you got a friend with you,  he or she can play as Luigi for co-op fun! But, Super Mario 64 is still my favourite game of the Mario series!

OVERALL SCORE  92.5%

not even close to compete with the big boys (Sonic Advance 3 and Jazz Jackrabbit 2)

see you guys in the next review!

Spartancommander1990 out!
