Review of Mario kart Wii (Wii)

Microsoft has  Forza motorsport, Sony has Gran Turismo, Nintendo has Mario kart! To commemorate the closure of the Wii shop Channel, I have decided to go to megabytes and review this game. Can this game took the chequered flag? Or as this game going to get head by the infamous blue shell just before it crosses the finish line?

Let's find out!

Mario kart Wii is one of the most famous and competitive game on the Nintendo Wii, which was Nintendo's licence to print money.

While watching our partners at DreamChaserGaming's Trophy Achievement Podcast, we find out that Nintendo is closing down the Wii shop Channel, this means that you will be able to buy any new games for the Wii digitally so, realistically Nintendo, after a decade (the exact lifespan of Microsoft's Xbox 360 console) has finally killed off the Nintendo Wii

Mario Kart series has been very stable franchise and Nintendo consoles, since its release for the super Nintendo entertainment system (SNES) in The year 1992

In this game you pick a racer from the super Mario universe, pick a  cup, kart or bike,  track and battle it out in a fast-paced battle for the chequered flag!

The accessibility scores are as follows –

Visibility 7
there is very  little need for a colourblind modes and free for all games as there is very little colour coding involved in this game With the exemption of trying to differentiate green shells from red ones, but, on the other hand, the icons of the weapons in this game are exactly the same as previous entries in the series. So, if you play the Mario kart game before you will have minimal to no issues trying to differentiate between the weapons.

But, it's the battle modes through the issues arise! The battle modes are team based, and the teams are colour-coded – red and blue, as I have said time and time again, although this  colour contrast will not affect the majority of colourblind players, it should be addressed nonetheles, and we all know how to solve this issue.

Audibility 10
there is no spoken dialogue in this game except for random sounds, therefore no subtitles are required. Another advantage to hearing-impaired players is when a red shell, or the infamous blue shell (sorry Kenzie!) is approaching you, and icon will appear on your screen to warn you of this event. So that way you can avoid the attack as it homes in  on you!

Mobility 10
although there are no definable controls in this game, the amount of alternate control options should render the that. You can use your Wii remote like a steering wheel, you can use the controller attachment for your Wii remote, or you can use the Good ol' fashioned GameCube controller for pure nostalgia! So you should be able to play this game fairly easily.

Gameplay 10
as I said in the introduction of this review, Mario kart series is Nintendo's trademark racing game series, and to have a lot of fun to play (with the exception of course, getting hit by a blue shell by your friend!)There is plenty of courses and battle arenas to keep you occupied.Although the Almighty features of this game through the Nintendo Wi-Fi connection has been discontinued, multiplayer fun is still a very easy when you got your friends over for some fast paced, Mario kart action! If you are a Nintendo Wii diehard, and is looking for a cheap game to play with your family, or friends over the Christmas period, this game is for you!

OVERALL SCORE – 92.5%

This review is dedicated to the victims and families of the awful shooting and the Las Vegas strip yesterday.

Anyway, see you guys in the next review!
