Review of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas

VIVA, LAS VEGAS!
to kick off the Summer of dgr, we fancied a flutter on the Blackjack table and the Roulette Wheel, but can this game win big or go bankrupt in one night? let's find out!

the Rainbow Six series  created a new  sub-genre of shooters- the tactical shooter, instead of generic  FPS games  you run into the enemy base, all guns blazing with your AI teammates run blindly into the crossfire (don't believe me? play Call of Duty 4 campaign on Veteran, one of the blog's readers know what happened with that!) but in this game you got to think on your toes, as one bad call can cost the lives of one or more of your teammates! In this game you play Logan a squadron leader of an elite counter-terrorist organisation code named "Rainbow"  who has to lay down the law on the city of sin!

Audibility 0
once again, no subtitles!  how can hearing impaired players understand what's going on with no subtitles! again should be an industry standard!

Visibility 3
there's no need for subtitles in Single Player, as your squad mates sick next to you but it is needed in multiplayer, particularly in team games, by the way, there is no colourblind mode!

Mobility 10
the only saving grace of this game in terms of accessibility is the controls. There's numerous stick layouts to choose fromso Mobility impaired players would hacve little to no trouble with this game.

Gameplay 8
theres only two modes story mode, and terrorist hunt.   But there is very limited options  to play with in single player. But  the multiplayer  gives you the most content, hence the reason why i marked down in the visibility category. Not NEARLY  as good as the first entry in the series!

OVERALL SCORE 52.5%
its  a pretty good game. But it's lack of basic accessibility features such as colourblind mode subtitles makes this game's score as low as a one of a kind in poker!

now to sit back with some Miami Vice!
