let's find out!
John "Greig" Wilson has been haunting me for this review for quite some time. But i think it's time to exercise the demons.
the citizens of Racoon City has been infected with an unknown virus which turns people to cannibalistic zombies so the Police called it's Special Tactics And Rescue Service (S.T.A.R.S) to investigate the source of the virus. the accessibility scores are as follows-
Visibility- 10
There's no need for a color blind mode as like all survival horror games. Everyone else is foe! So visually impaired players can play this game no problem!
Audibility- 10
Compared with Silent Hill 2 this game is more accessible in this category. Instead of relying on a pocket Radio and your enemies concealed in fog (please check my Silent Hill review for more info) you can actually see your foes coming instead of listening out for static. That way players with visual impairments can play though this game a lot easier. Also there's in-game subtitles! Most accessible Horror game i've played!
Mobility 10
There's a lot of control layouts bore both Keyboard and controller type players, you can use the classic Tank style controls for veterans (yes, i'm looking at you Greig!) or a remastered layout similar to the Devil May cry series. Plus there's numerous button layouts to satisfy any mobility impaired gamer's needs!
Gameplay 10
A truly timeless classic in the genre. Like i said in the Silent Hill reviews Konami concentrated on the experience and plays on your senses to make you feel fear using jump scares sudden noises and the feeling of isolation. Resident Evil on the other hand focuses on action and less about the experience. For eample you are more likely to encounter multiple enemies in this game than Silent Hill. So its a Coke-Pepsi relationship you like one or the other!
OVERALL SCORE 100%
another Ultra Combo!
if it wasn't a retro game it would most probably beat Cena! Capcom is most definitely back with a vengeance! <insert Guile from Street Fighter joke here>
Man I love those games
