tales from the gaming Graveyard: top 20 gaming CreepyPastas, part 2(15-10)

back for more eh? you thought those CreepyPastas was scary... you aint seen nothin yet! so lets continue with our chilling list of Creepy stories from the interwebs

14. Sally/Sonic.exe
yup…you saw this one inevitably popping out somewhere… Sonic.exe is about a boy called Tom who receives a disk from a friend called Kyle( not the South Park character!) with a note saying things like “destroy the disk… he’s too fast for me if you don’t, he will come for you too!” but Tom was too much curious.. he opened up the disk on his PC…but he was too much of a Sonic fan not to play it. Upon opening the cd there was nothing that was in it. Only a exe file called SONIC. Assuming that it was just a port of the 1991 genesis game Sonic the Hedgehog onto the PC. So he played it. There was nothing strange when the game started. The normal title screen and music was present. But the creepiness happened when Tom pressed start(probably the enter key). The water turned blood red and Sonic turned eyes turned black and his pupils was replaced with small red dots. To top it off the copyright info changed from Sega 1991 to Sega 666( as in the number of the beast, if you listen to Iron Maiden, you should know that) but tom kept playing! The next screen was similar to Sonic 3 and Knuckles’ save select screen with the options to play as Tails Knuckles and Doctor Eggman( which never happened in normal Sonic games, except for Adventure 2) so creepy messages starting to be displayed on screen like “do you want to play with me?” “too slow, want to try again?” as the game miocks the player as the characters were picked off one by one in creepy level names like “you can’t run” and “hide and seek” the when all the characters the game would go completely static(possible reference to Slender) then a close up, bloody picture of Sonic.exe and a loud maniacal laughter with the words “ I AM GOD” on the screen. Then Tom turned to his Sonic Plush toy with the exact facial features as Sonic.exe. The only evidence of what the game looked like was a recreation ROM by CrimsonTheBat. There was a sequel released earlier this year, called Sally.exe, which was pretty much the same as Sonic.exe. Player searches eBay for a rare Sally Plushie. Sees a DVD of the Animated series of Sonic the Hedhehog (know as SATAM Sonic). Player buys DVD, whi9ch costed 1 dollar, with free shipping. Receives a blank disk. Player receives blank disk. Player opens disk, obnly has exe file called SALLY bla and..well..you get the picture. The only difference was the Characters or victims, which was Cream, Amy, and Sallywhich has the the same clichés as Sonic.exe, Sally.exe’s gameplay must have been heavily influenced by this video:

the fan recreations of both Sally and Sonic. exes are available via these links:

13. Lavender Town Syndrome.

*rolls eyes* here we go again! Back to Pokémon, but in my view this is the best Poke-Pasta (get it?) According to the Pasta the original, Japanese versions of Pokemon Red and Blue versions. The music which was played in Lavender Town was quite controversial. The music was played on two channels with a high frequency, which only young children can hear. One part on one ear the other part in the other ear. This is known as a Binaural effect. The results was quite startling… children under 12 wearing headphones was rushed into the hospital, and was the cause of around 100 suicides in Japan. Nintendo got the game recalled to make it single-toned. But nowadays the frequencies of the controversial version of the music, which was played using Spectrogram software had the picture of the Burried Alive sprite, the White hand spriote and the words “GO BACK”, This is known as “ The Missing Frequencies” which takes the term “creepy, and takes it to an entirely different level. The version is on youtube. You can go ahead and listen to it if you like…at your own risk of course!

12. BEYONDHELLVALLEYSKYTREES
This CreepyPasta is about an Easter egg in the ShiverBurn Galaxy if you look around, in first person view you’ll see ghostly shadows above the cliff side, developer stated they are called BEYONDHELLVALLEYSKYTREES. There’s a lot of speculation on what they were supposed to be.. but theres a cameo in Super Mario 3d land in certain levels, you can see a UFO and more of those ghostly figures called land ghosts”
11.Sonic CD Hidden message
  1. ok, other than not giving us Dreamcast2 (or should I say “Dream Crushed”) SEGA has been trolling us (don’t even get me started on their list of offences) one in particular was in the 1993 game Sonic CD, like most games in the series has a “Sound Test Menu, when you unlock this menu, enter the following code 46-12-25 (or 12-25 in the U.Do that you'll see a creepy as hell screen with a disturbing image of Sonic. The words “fin is infinity” appearing at the center and to the bottom right has “Sega enterprises” written in Japanese. Yup good ol' fashioned nightmare fuel! but not half as much as the next CreepyPasta

10 Fallout 3 Numbers Stations
This CreepyPasta takes the word “nightmare fuel” and takes it to a whole new level. According to the CreepyPasta if you wander around the fictional,post-apocalyptic Washington DC, in the Bethesda game, Fallout 3, if you kill one of the host from the host of one of the game's radio stations, Galaxy News Radio, called “threedog” and then destroy Raven Rock which is the trigger to transform the harmless radio station into the more creepier numbers station., you’ll hear a strange robotic voice saying stange messages, from the light-hearted messages such as:
these transmissions include “Have you watched my Youtube videos yet, I uploaded myself kicking bums in the nuts” to the absolutely terrifying messages such as “the Queen has died today, the world mourns, as on days like these we are all Brits.” all these cryptic messages are followed by numbers between 9 and 12. When examining the numbers in more detail, they are actually dates. The real killer of sleep is2055282010, or 12:05 28th 2010- the exact date and time of the death of Gary Coleman. So this CreepyPasta is basically these broadcasts is like the Gaming version of the Mayan calendar. But when one of those broadcasts correctly predicted Gary Coleman's death.. it HAD to be in my top 10 somewhere... Until next week...sweet dreams evil laugh
