to kick off Military MAY-hem month, i decided to review the game we play to get our body count up, this is going to be my first review on a PC title!
so to draw first blood<insert Rambo joke here> i decide to review the most popular franchise on the PC this is thefourth entry into the series, the first entry (Counter Strike 1.6) became the number one Online Action game in the world. Over 25 Million copies have been sold before this games release. the game accesibility scores are as follows
Mobility 9- relatively easy to pick up and play
as par for the course the controls for the PC are re mappable , so you can pick a layout to suit your taste but you need to use the mouse to look and turn so its gonna get tricky for players with certain mobility impairments, unlike the earlier entries of the franchise.
Visual- 8 somewhat easy to pick up and play
distinguishing teammates and enemies is gonna be tricky as each team-mate has his own distinct blip on the mini map , as no colour-blind filter in place, but the two teams are easy to distinguish so with practice you'll be able to know which person to empty a clip on or who to stick with(if the person is alive of course) to complete the map's objectives.
Audible- 10 easy to pick up and play
the only dialogue is to indicate the round has started and to notify if certain weapons is used like flash bangs (FUN FACT: Flash bangs actually contain magnesium, when ignited creates a flash to temporarily blind the human eye) grenades fire bombs(Molotovs) etc. all of which which are subtitled IF the bomb is planted you will be notified. so people with Audible impairments should have very little to no problems playing this game!
Gameplay- 10 fast-paced competitive action
CS:GO
Theres a lot to like about this game there's Classic mode which is basically Call of Duty's Search and Destroy- eliminate the enemy team, or plant the bomb in one of the two bomb site, if the bomb is planted the opposing team has to defuse it before it goes or rescue the hostages and escort them to your spawn point(depends on what map you play on)Also there's Arms Race, you kill an enemy you get a new gun the winner is the person who hits the maximum level
Death Match kills get you points, the winner is the person who hits the score limit first
Overall 92.5% like CoD but better
CS:GO is the cream of the crop for PC shooters, in my opinion you can pick new guns instead of picking a class with the Arms Deal Update you can use various weapon finishes which is either bought or acquired in random drops after matches with the Steam Workshop you can get extra content for free! but word of advice- if you haven't played CS before PRACTICE AGAINST THE AIs because in multiplayer gives you a real test of your skill!
Thanks for the informative review James!
