Review of Sonic Adventure 2( requested by Gary Copeland)

The  Speedy blue hedgehog is back on the  blog!  The second iteration of the Sonic Adventure series, after a good 3 mins of  arguing in the GAME  Stores in Ayr i decided to  comply with  his wish, he is a massive fan of my blog, so better question. Did i   have a choice in this matter?  so  can this game escape from the city and  pull off a last-minuite entry into the Game of the Month Nominees list? or is it too  slow to  escape GUN?

Released in 2001,This game is one of the Sega Dreamcast's greatest games, along with Shenmue and Soul Calibur
In this game  you control of Sonic and his great  horde of heroes Knuckles and  Tails or Shadow and his band of bad guys Dr Rrobo-err.. Eggman and  Rouge  in  three  chapters in the story(Hero Dark and Last)  This game was also remastered and updated for the GameCube in  October 2003 in the form of Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, and was later released as a  download-only game for the PS3, Xbox 360 in (  fun fact: the game  was downloaded so many times  it caused the Xbox LIVE servers to crash)  in 2012  the accesibility scores are as follows

Visual 10 Easy to pick up and play
The  enemies  are easy to distinguish and the  radar for Knuckles' and Rouge's missions  work 2 ways, vision  and audio  if  the characrter is close to a  emerald shard   the colour of the gem on the radar changes from  green, to yellow to red and an exclamation mark  appears over the characters head and  the characters let them know that he or she  is  right next to the item that the chracter is trying to find so colourblind and players with other impairments  should have no problem  playing this game without any problems

Audial 9  Easy to pick up and play, but a small flaw
The game's cutscenes are subtitled   so gamers with audial impairments should be able to understand the story, like i said above  all  aspects of the game should be able to play without any problems  but there are certain  in-game dialogue is not subtitled, which is the only hair in this game's soup

Gameplay 10- a great job by SEGA  there!
This game has the makings of a great Sonic game Fast Fun easy to play, and diverse as each characters missions are different
Knuckles and Rouge- find gems hidden within the level use your radar  and hints to find all 3
Sonic and Shadow- run through the level as fast as you can  collect as many rings as you  can and rack up as many points as you can
Tails and Eggman- run trough the level and blast anyone who stands in your way back to the stone age!

Mobility-10  easy to pick up and play

For obvious reasons the controls vary on the characters  but  they are pretty easy to pick up and play, X to jump press again in mid-air to glide O as your action button Square to  shoot,  instructions  to use your abilities should be easy to understand. So gamers with Mobility improvements you should be able to play this game with ease

Overall 97%
SEGA has a good track record for game accessibility (except for Sonic Free Riders) but the lack of camera controls, the lack of in-game subtitles could be a problem. But the game is fast-paced fun and reasonably long  as the amount of side-missions  in the game and the exploration element for the extra abilities hidden in most levels  should keep you playing for a long time, a definite contender for Game of the Month!
