Review of Total War: Saga Troy(PC)

hey, everyone!  this time, I review the latest addition to  Creative Assembly's long-running series of strategy games. Does Robert have what it takes to get one up on Faithless Games? Or will  The King of Gibraltar take an arrow to the heel?

Let's find out!

(best enjoyed with headphones on!)

Before we begin, Big shout-out to:
  • Robert "King of Gibraltar" Stevenson
  • Alicia and Craig
for requesting this review!

The total War series has been synonymous with the strategy genre. Its unique blend of city and army management, similar to Sid Mier's Civilization, mixed with fast-paced real-time tactical battles on a truly epic scale which no other strategy game can replicate.

This series has been covering a variety of lettings from bloody battles in feudal Japan with Shogun, to fantasy battles in the tabletop, games workshop world War Hammer.

This entry in the series is the best of both! This game is focused on the war on Troy, as seen in multiple films,  TV series  based on the book called the Iliad, which is written by Homer

FUN FACT: Did you know that Homer was blind? See, guys? a blind person who has written This epic tale of love, betrayal, war and destruction!

You play as either the Greeks, Trojans, and various other factions that is tied to this bloody conflict.

The accessibility  scores are as follows –

Visibility 11

there is a feature that is present in recent total War games called Alliance colours. The colour of the armour in uniform that a soldier is wearing is will reflect to  your diplomacy towards them. You can also add a colourblind modes to that feature so you should be able to play this game with great ease despite your visual impairment.

Audibility 10

There is Indian subtitle support during battles and the opening cut scene. So you should be able to understand what's going on during battles or in the campaign.

Mobility 10

as par for the course for  strategy games the game is primarily controlled by the mouse. There is also hot keys for selection and commands. These hotkeys can be redefined via the options menu. So you can tailor the hotkeys to suit your impairment. So you'll be able to play this game with minimal to problems.

Gameplay 10

to be honest, guys I have recently done the total War franchise A little injustice. This game is highly optimised. Even in large-scale battles featuring hundreds if not thousands of individual units are acting on their own. Of course, this can be very intensive on your CPU. So if you are going to play this game either decrease the unit size, or get a beefy processor!

In my honest opinion, the Siege of Troy  is a perfect setting for an entry in the total War franchise. What makes this game stand out from the pack, is that you can have mythological units in your army for example Minotaurs. Therefore, blending the fantasy elements of War Hammer with the historical setting of a total War game. Seriously, no two battles will feel the same, as you strategise and plan against the AI enemies or other players in epic battles.

In summary, total War: Saga Troy is a very good, solid addition to the total War franchise. The game itself is running on a modified version of the engine that Attila ran on. But with a lot of organisation fixes. This game is currently free on the Epic Game store for a very limited time. So, if you are strategy game fan, and is looking for an introduction to the total War series, give this game a try! Trust me, guys you won't regret it!

OVERALL SCORE 102.5%

oh my goodness, guys the first over 100% score in a long time! It's going to take Dark Souls 3 something special to match that score!

Speaking of dark souls, I can confirm to you guys… the Dark Souls 3 review has been written. And I also have the footage required to get the narration done. All that I have to do to get this posted is record myself reading that review as I'm doing now. It should be posted sometime this weekend, if you're lucky tomorrow!
