Review of Onimusha: Remastered(Xbox One, PS4, PC)

hi everyone! Today I review a little throwback to the PS2 era. Is this game destined for greatness? Let's find out!

Right guys, another day, another [censored]storm in dgr.

As soon as I bought this game, Fraser "CRSnake" West and his friend, Carrie wanted me to review this game. On the other hand, Robert from my local GAME  said this game would not score highly, and wanted me to do a comparison of H1Z1, PUBG, and Fortnite instead, when I explained the issue to Fraser he predicted that the scores of all three games would barely get off the ground.

For the sake of diplomacy, I thought I'll do a review of this game. Robert predicted that this game would not score over 40% (only 16 points!). If that were to happen I'd do the Battle Royale games comparison. If it does, it's CRSnake and Carrie's choice

so dgr proudly presents...

DGR KOMBAT!!!

Oh boy! Why do I always get dragged into this!

Round 1
FIGHT!

Originally released in 2001, you play as Samanosuke Akechi who has to save Princess Yuki from the daemonic hordes of Oda Nobunaga (gee Samanosuke, you should've hired Doomguy, he's the demon slaying expert!)

 [Insert BFG Division here]
The accessibility scores are as follows:

Visibility 7
At certain points, you need a specific weapon equipped to advance to the next section.  The only way to tell which weapon required is the lock's color. So you'll find it hard to progress through the game. So you might want to give this game second thought before buying.

Audibility 10
There are in-game subtitles present so you'll be ok with this game.

Mobility 10
In the PC version, you can use keyboard & mouse or a controller, as this game is a PS2 game, this is pretty much expected. Although for the best experience a controller would be highly recommended

Gameplay 7
For an early  PS2 game, this game is pretty decent. The story is good,   it is pretty much a medieval version of resident evil. In short, this game is a blast to play. Great for your fix of good ol' Nostalgia

But here's where the criticisms lie.  They could use a different engine to make the game better. Examples of these include Unreal Engine 4, used in Crash Bandicoot NSane Trilogy and Spyro Reignited, or Unity.

But, no. This game is a pretty lazy port like DMC: HD Collections,. So  CAPCOM kinda cut corners on that one. So Robert, I kinda see your point of view. but as I said earlier, the original game is good.

The PC version does not require that much in terms of hardware power to play. Pretty cheap to buy, too. So if money is a little tight but needs a new game, this is a very good game to buy.

OVERALL SCORE 85%

That's double Robert's prediction

see you guys in the next review
