Review of Duke Nukem 3D 20th Anniversary World Tour (PC, PS4,Xbox One)

Okay, guys! this time, I review the first ever 3D iteration of the Duke Nukem series, can Duke win the Konami award twice in a row? or is Duke on the road to redemption? let's kick @$$ and chew  bubble gum!

Originally released in 1996, this game transformed the series from the side-scrolling shooter to the most politically incorrect series in the gaming industry. Gearbox Software decided to remaster this game to celebrate 20 years since this game released! (feeling old now?)
In this game, the Cycloids  are invading Earth and it's up to Duke to send those aliens back to their motherships, the accessibility scores are as follows

Visibility 8
quite a step up from Duke Nukem Forever,  there is no team modes in  terms of competitive multiplayer, only Dukematch (free-for-all) so everyone else but you (and your teammate) are for so like I said in my review of Wolfenstein 3D, if it moves, kill it!

Mobility 5
you can use a control pad and  the  button layouts can be redefined, but the stick layout can't be changed, so mobility players can't use a control pad. Best to use a keyboard for this one

Audibility 0
no subtitles in this game! even in cutscenes so best of luck trying to understand what is going on in the story, there is also no form of damage indicators, dso you never know where the damage is coming from!

Gameplay 10
in short- this is way better than Forever, this sets the bar on how Duke games should be!, the developers seemed to have gone all-out in remastering this game, they've modified the engine to run as smooth as butter on modern PCs,  although the sounds and textures  still showing it's age, but this game has added a new chapter in the story as you kick alien @$$e$ around the globe! so it certainly has the lifespan and the ability to play against bots in multiplayer adds to the fun, so in this retrospect, this game is actually half-decent

OVERALL SCORE 57.5%

a marked improvement from  the abysmal failure of Forever, but don't call it a comeback!
