review of Sonic Generations

SEGA was the first company to hit the 90s(pun intended) in review scores( Sonic Adventure 2), it was the highest rating, Until Guile knocked it out of it's perch but SEGA is back to reinstate it's dominance, but the question is.... will this game achieve this? let find out!

this game was released in 2011, Sonic's 20th anniversary(I'm not talking marriage here!) Sonic and his band of friends celebrate his 20th birthday, until an evil force crashed the party and captured all his buddies! Sonic now has to travel to  his past (Sonic CD  cliché *ding*) and uncover who is  distorting his past  and save his buddies!the accessibility scores are as follows:

Visibility 9
this game is somewhat  playable for players with visual impairments.  a colour blind mode would be great, but there's little need for one. the enemies are easy to distinguish, but the words in the subtitles that is in various colours, I understand that it emphasizes certain words, but...

Audibility 10

This game has full subtitles in cutscenes and when Omochao gives advice to you, so you can understand what is being said. also, like I said in my previous review of Sonic CD, whn Sonic is drowning, numbers will appear on top of Sonic's  head to give you warning to find an air bubble or get to the surface for air. s I doubt players with visual impairments will find this game easy to play.

Mobility 10
this game has no re-definable controls but the controls are basic in the classic levels , you use the left analogue stick to move your character, x or a to jump.  The controls is a  little more advanced than the classic levels. But there is no issues that may cause a major issue with mobility impaired players.

Gameplay 10
for a Sonic game, this game is pretty decent! for the first (and last) time you can play as classic Sonic, an it uses the same engine that Sonic  Colours, Unleashed, an the utterly disastrous Sonic  '06. it features levels from certain games which has been released over the previous 20 years. S in summary, this game is pretty good and accessible. But  the game's lack of the basic principles of 'subtitles' drags this game down.

OVERALL SCORE 97.5%
