Review of Legend of ZeldaDX Links Awakening (GBC,3DS), requested by Claire Love and David Girvan)

when you have one person requesting a review but TWO!( Mario Kart 9 had the entire staff at GAME Ayr requesting  a review of that, so as Jeremy Clarkson would say "still....could be worse!)
the Legend of Zelda  is one of Nintendo's most recognisable RPGs( Role Playing Games), This time I review one of the entries of the series for the Game Boy Colour( its available  as a downloadable title for the 3ds. so will Link  defeat Guile and be the Game of the Month AND  be the front runner for this year, at this late stage? or will Guile be able to SONIC BOOM!   Link, thus allowing Street Fighter 4's top spot?

The Hero of Time is  on another quest! this time on a portable system!
Originally released on the Game Boy, in 1993, and re-released for the Game Boy Advance in  January 1999(in Europe, all other regions was released earlier)  and was released  for the 3ds  on June 7th 2011. In this game Link's ship was destroyed in a storm, gets washed up on an island. Now he has to collect instruments to wake the Wind Fish, so he can go back to Hyrule. The accessibility scores are as follows
*treasure chest theme starts playing*

Audible-9 first dungeon clear!
Due to the game's age, which was 11 years(feeling old yet?) there is no spoken dialogue, so there was only text,  but there is only one slight flaw, a sound would play when you have a key, so deaf players will find navigating dungeons confusing,

Visual-  7 hey! listen!
once again there is not much hindrances for playing this game due to visual impairments, but in certain areas on the word or certain  rooms in a dungeon the screen darkens, which can be a problem for gamers with colour-blindness . Apart from those problems,   in terms of playing this game for a visual impairment, you should be fine.

Mobility-10 Link got the Master Sword!
due to the inventory screen, you can set which one of the two buttons to use what item, which is, in a sense re-definable controls, which is a mobility impaired gamers best friend. This is due to the limited buttons the Game Boy  and Game Boy Colour had. there was only 2 buttons. A and B. the  Y button opens up your island map, but it only shows you the areas you visited already. the X button allows you visit your inventory screen so you can switch items.  You can  only have only two active items, and with that screen you can bind which button uses what item. So Mobility impaired gamers can play this game without any problems at all!

Gameplay- 9 Link got  the Strength Amulet!!
This game is clearly showing its age. Like i said above , the original Links Awakening was 11 years old,  so  the graphics is not looking that modern. But  it still retains the classic Zelda feeling from the SNES era game, Zelda  A link to the Past. So for Zelda veterans, this should be a blast from the past!

87.5%a very accessible, fun game,  a good game, but not good enough to beat Guile!
