Review of Street Fighter Alpha 3(Various Formats)

hey everyone!

This  we Tatsumaki Senpukyaku into a throwback to the  ill-fated Dreamcast for a review of another entry in CAPCOM's flagship 2D fighting game franchise

can Ken defeat everyone, and win the tournament?

Let's find out!

you know guys, waiting for exam results is stressful,  my finals in University was particularly stressful, I was worrying about than most of this month

seriously guys, I honestly thought I p!$$ed away 2 years worth of work =(

A good friend of mine, Fraser "CRSnake" West was extremely reassuring. He was so convinced I would pass all modules, he put a review of one of his favorite games on the line.

I was so full of self-doubt I accepted the bet

As you can tell by now, I have passed

Now, the second Street Fighter I have ever played was Street Fighter Alpha 2 for PC. Every time we started our PCs up. We were greeted with this angelic sound:

  ahhh good times.....

Originally released in 1998, for the PlayStation, and in July 199,  SEGA's last console, the Dreamcast.

This game is centered about a fighting tournament called "World  Warrior" as 31 fighters battle it out for dominance. You pick a fighter from a diverse roster and battle your way through the game's Arcade mode, the genre's bread-and-butter

the accessibility scores are as follows:

Visibility 10

each and every character has three colors of outfits to choose from, with the variation system(more on that later!). So even in Mirror Matches, you'll cope ok with this.

Audibility 10

The dialogue is all text-based, so no subtitles are required

Mobility 10

The 30th Anniversary collection allows you to use a keyboard (not recommended) or a controller. You can refine the buttons of each input method, in the same fashion as all games in the genre.

Gameplay 10

This game has a lot of characters, including for the second time in the series, Akuma. With the variation, system adds more variety to the game. each variation has its own super attacks and play styles. This forces you to really explore each character and variation and pick which combination suits you best. The real fun is where you have a friend over and battle it out against him on the same couch over local co-op. Alternatively, you can play against someone online, if you have the 30th Anniversary collection.

In summary. Street Fighter Alpha 3 is old school Street Fighter at it's best! If you are looking for an old-school fighter to play over the summer, this game is a very good choice. It doesn't require a NASA PC to run it either, this game is Laptop friendly.

OVERALL SCORE 100%
