Review of Killer Instinct (Xbox One, PC)

Hey everyone! Today I review one of the most competitive fighting games on the market,  Can this game bring the Fulgore Award? Let's find out

1v1  2D fighting games.  A combination of punches, kicks, panic button mashing to minimise your opponents HP bar in a virtual skill-based arena. Each format has their own exclusive AAA series. PlayStation has Street Fighter. Xbox has Killer Instinct, due to Microsoft's acquisition of Rare. You pick a  character from a roster of  29  characters then you jump into the arena and face your opponent! (if its CRSnake96, who has requested the review then... RUN! )

The accessibility scores are as follows-

Visibility 11
Each and every character has a plethora of combinations to chose from- a Nat20 from Iron Galaxy! (shout-out to Snake for the  D&D pun!- you asked for it Gil, we shall deliver!)

Audibility 10
All dialogue  is subtitled so you can understand what's going on in-game

Mobility 10
The button layout can be redefined to suit your impairments. So you can play this game with no problems.

Gameplay 10
Okay, let's start off with the negatives. Matchmaking issues exist in the Steam version. If your friend is on Xbox you can't invite him/her to a lobby. The only option you have is to manually create the lobby, and make the other person search for it. This procedure is very frustrating and tedious. Which is, in my opinion, a pretty good game! Like all games of the genre, it requires a degree of skill (not luck!) and dedication to master, New to KI? fear not! there are a few ways that will allow you to get adjusted into the game.

First up there's Combo Assist. This feature allows you to perform complex combo attacks a lot easier. Owing to the fact that this game is very dependant on combo attacks. In matchmaking, you can pick which range of ranks of player you want to face. That way you can play against people your skill level. So if it's a fighting game you're looking for. This game could be a good purchase at the right price, despite the shortfalls with the Steam Version. This game is the most accessible fighting game I've ever come across

OVERALL SCORE 102.5%

Gee looks like Battlefield 3 just got hit by a....

KI is now the game to beat in the modern games category
