Review of Crystal Caves (PC)

Okay guys!
This time i take you back to 1991 (the same year that Sonic 1 released for the Genesis!) so can this game beat Crazy Taxi for the top spot? let's find out!

This is the first request for Lynsay "Major Stryker" Bartlett(one of my not takers in college!, and the first fully-fledged member in the supported learning unit)
So, welcome to the dgr community!

Anyway, in the late 80s and Early 90s the PC gaming industry was booming in Dallas, Texas, one of the companies leading this revolution was Apogee Software* this company gave us all-time classics. Like the PC's answer to Mario Kart- Wacky Wheels. Other titles include Major Stryker+, Raptor:Call of the Shadows, Duke Nukem 1,2 and 3D(at least they are better than Duke Nukem Forever! )

Anyway, in this game you control a space miner, who will have to collect as many gems as you can while dealing with  alien Hazards, and any traps in the caverns, the accessibility scores are as follows-

Visibility 10
there's no need for a colourblind mode as the aliens and hazards are easy to distinguish, i mean it's 1991 we're talking about! <insert Green Hill theme here>  so you will have no problems playing this game whatsoever!

Audibility 10
there's no spoken dialogue so no need for subtitles, one again it's 1991 we're talking about! <insert Green Hill theme here>

Mobility 9
The controls are pretty simple, but not redefinable, so you can play this game , but we all know what the gold standard in accessibility for this category is!

Gameplay 10
This game is realy fun to play, if you are into side-scrolling shooters like Duke Nukem 1 and 2, and most of Aprgee's* MS-DOS(Microsoft Disk Operating system, the command-based OS we used before windows) catalog you'll have a blast with this game, well worth the £4 on Steam

OVERALL SCORE  97.5
